[Engine] 2010 1.6hdi poor starting from hot
#1
Help!!!
For the last three months my 2010 1.6 hdi 133k has been in and out of various garages with a fault on starting from hot.
First of all I was driving along and my battery light came on. The garage replaced my alternator and my battery and ever since then the car has problems starting from hot and to be honest it’s not as great as it was prior to the battery light coming on from cold either.
The van will turn over great and strong but can take up to 20-30 secs to fire. Once it’s running it’s great.
The things that have been done/replaced are:

Battery (twice!)
Alternator
Starter motor
Glow plugs
Crank sensor
Fuel pipes on top of the engine as they thought there was a leak drawing air into the fuel system.
Fuel pressure test of some kind
Fuel filter replacement
No fault codes present now and everyone’s scratching their heads!

I’ve spent around £700 and considering setting fire to the thing.
I need this van for work and I’m using my other half’s Clio to run a plumbing business so any help would be great - I’m not mechanically minded so take it easy on me ?
Thankyou

Take it into Mark Lightfoot before you spend anymore money he is in derby and well worth the journey.

http://www.marklightfootltd.co.uk/

He is an independent Citroen Specialist and uses Citroens own diag system which can do a much deeper diagnostic.

Thanks for the plug guys.
Sounds as if you may have an injector issue.
Will be happy to take a look for you  Smile

This may not be the right place to put this query, but for the past few weeks my journey home means waiting at roadwork traffic lights on Barnes railway bridge slope in hot weather (around 25-28 degrees). When the lights go green and it's time to pull away up the slope nothing happens for a few seconds, then it roars away and goes too fast.
The eco stop device works and I wonder if it's because of the slope or the heat. It recently had a Citroen dealer service with new fuel filter, and MOT with no recommendations. It's a 2014 airdream 90 VTR auto, 30K mileage, which is brilliant except for this problem.

Any ideas?
