Hi there, this is for a Berlingo1.9 d 2008 my blower heater was only working on the last speed( 4) for a while and now it has completely packed up.. I already posted a similar question a few months ago ..how do I change/check it? I actually managed to locate it, How do I know which part is broken and need fixing? Don't really want to buy an unecessary part if possible..Thanks in advance for any replies..Franck .

Maybe no-one's answered because there's been recent discussion on this. Try a search for fan and you'll see it.

If it was working but now it's not it could be the motor but the fact it was working on fast only points to the resistor. They are available on ebay as a complete unit or you can
try to repair them if you want to save some money. Is the fuse to the blower motor ok ?
So where does this bit go then ?

Not necessarily. My fan died in a similar way and it wasn't the resistor.
It does say it could be the motor, did you read it ?

I see what I missed: (fast only) (points to the resistor) as opposed to (fast) (only points to the resistor).
Where's the aggression ? I made a suggestion as he asked and you jumped on my post not offering him anything.
So where does this bit go then ?

Please gentlemen ,lets not let this get out of hand ,none of us are perfect. Franck has asked for help! I would attack the situation like this Franck , locate the wiring to the motor and check to make sure it has a live and neutral available buy using a meter/ test light. If you definitely have power then you must remove the motor and initially look at the resistor ,if this has gone open circuit it will cause the motor to run full speed only. As the motor is now not working then could it be the brushes , worn out or stuck ? I would suggest however that it may be cheaper and easier to replace the heater assembly completely, which can be obtained from ebay or a scrap yard assuming that you have power in the circuit. I know this has been said above but just my take on it for what its worth. Do you have a Haynes manual ? They are good for things like this .
