[Tires & Wheels] Spare wheel
#1
Hi. I've recently acquired a Berlingo Mspace forte 1997cc diesel which is missing a spare wheel. I believe wheels from several vehicles might fit, and as my local breakers couldn't find a Berlingo one, can anyone suggest which others might fit. The wheel is 16in with four studs.
Thanks

Most 4 stud Citroen or Peugeot 4 stud wheels will fit just to get you home. Are your wheels standard steels as I believe they are usually 15 inch or 14 inch on some vans ?
So where does this bit go then ?

Thumbs Up
Thanks for reply. Yes, they're original standard wheels, 16inch, four stud. I've had a look at a Megane wheel, but couldn't actually try it on and it looks the same. I'll widen my search to include other Citroen models and Peugeot.
(I can't remember the last time I had to use a spare wheel, but you can bet your boots the first time I go out without one......... Sad )
Thanks again for reply.

I don't think a Renault wheel will fit as they used 100mm PCD stud spacing instead of the 108mm used by Citroen and Peugeot. Check before you buy one.

Ideally you want the correct wheel so you can rotate the wheels to accomodate tyre wear and then on the other hand if you had an eagle eyed mot inspector who spotted an incorrect wheel with a different offset to the rest you may encounter an MOT fail.

I'd keep trying the breakers yards as Berlingos are pretty commonplace, a local yard will be cheaper than a nationally delivered online breakers.

I don't think your 16 inch wheels are the originals for the van, they were probably 15 inch or possibly on the early ones 14 inch rims. Have you got the sticker on the B post this should tell you what should be on there.
Are we there yet????? Huh

This is embarrassing Confused . The wheels are in fact 15 inch!!  as you rightly point out. (Senior moment I think). I've just got back from the breakers with a wheel, allegedly from a Berlingo, which appears to fit ok. It's a good job they didn't find a 16in when I  first looked?
Thanks for help.?

Thanks for reply. I've just found a suitable replacement,  which appears to fit. As I explained in reply to Tom Cat, to my embarrassment, the wheels are in fact 15in Rolleyes . Whoops!!
