Modutop sunroof panel

Hi all ,

My black roof panel the one with the glass in is flaking, unfortunately where it's flaking what's underneath is white and it looks like a seagull has s**t all over the roof !

Has anyone had this problems or had to repaint this panel ?
One thought was i could get it vinyl wrapped in black or carbon fibre but it's difficult to access and not flat plus has a load of windows in it so I doubt if it would be easy to do.

Has any one got any advice / experience etc regarding this ?

Are these Modutop roofs plastic coated? If so, is the white showing where it's peeling made of aluminium?

I've got one on my M59, which is in good shape at the moment - but I don't like the finish. It's very hard to clean properly and the front two slightly sloping windows get grimy because any rain just lays in the lower part of the window and smears them as you drive off.

I'd rather not have the Modutop. If you find a solution please post it.

Yeah mine's going on the front ends of the roof bar mounts. I'm just going to sand it and spray it black again.

I've just checked and the white bits where the paint has gone and they look and feel like GRP (glass reinforced plastic)
