Service light and other strange things happen

I bough the van and started using it in April, I reset the service count down at the time... Why then has it started to count down from 10k all over again ? I was keeping a mental note of mileage and was expecting it to be around 6k but when I looked it was reading 10k, it is counting down as normal so it has at some point reset itself, so I now have no idea where the count down should be.. I know the mileage as I go along because I write it on the fuel receipt..
  Something else I have noticed only the last few weeks is that the doors lock themselves randomly, sometimes the doors lock after a couple of minutes and sometimes I will be driving and the doors lock themselves or sometimes the doors don't lock at all..

Maybe worth checking if you have dirty water getting into the bsi module / ECU in the engine bay.

That would cause this weird behaviour.

Conductive fluid on the board or input terminals can trigger events as if you had pushed a button somewhere. Worth investigating before it gets worse. At least you can dry it out with a hair dryer and then seal where it's been getting in with clear silicone.
