[Tires & Wheels] B9 alloys onto a M59 (currently steels)

Hi all

I've tried searching the forum but I cannot find an answer to this ....

Early 2008 Berlingo Multispace fitted with the normal steel wheels. I have been offered a set of alloys from a recent B9 and have a couple of questions

(1) is the pcd etc ect the same? i.e. will they just bolt on as replacements?

(2) do I need new studs to bolt them on with (I have steels ones and the new wheels do not come with any)?

I have both models. I'm assuming your 'early 2008' model is a M59.

The stud pattern and the centre bore are identical on both, and the B9 wheels will fit onto the M59.
But - offset is different, and the B9 tyre is in any case too wide. A maximum width would be 195, preferably less, so you'll need different tyres. You might also need a small spacer (5mm) for the rears to clear the narrow arches. The fronts, with 195 section tyres, clear without problems.

And yes, you would need different bolts for alloys - the steels won't do.

Not really recommended ... my own view.

Super - thanks for the info, I think I'll just go with a new set of tyres all round then and skip the alloys.
