DPF additive
#1
Hi Guys

Can anyone offer advice on the protocol of adding, and resetting the dpf additive.

Is there a software tool i can buy, has anyone on here successfully completed this task??

Any help would be appreciated.

I take it you dont mean the add blue if its a 13 plate.

The stuff you are referring to i think is called eolys fluid - its under the vehicle.

Its very corrosive and do not get it on your skin. Most are bag jobs now you just buy a new bag and swap it over.

You will need the correct kit to reset the counter but you can get a knock off Lexia from ebay that will do it or take it somewhere after to get it reset.

I dont think dealers charge the earth for the job anyway.

Well thats all i know about it but others may have more info fore you.

Thanks mate, my local garage wanted £250 plus vat, sounds a bit steep, ive seen the kits on ebay for £130, just not confident in buying the reset software, unless you could point me in the right direction sir??

The best guy to get it from is Jim at Easy Diagnostics - he will help you install the software. He is a bit more expensive than some but you do get support.

Personally i would try and find a decent independent Citroen garage but for a one off job £250 + vat is steep but its done then.
