[Engine] Bsi unit
#1
Wondering if anyone can help I have a Citroen Berlingo on a 58 plate which the BSI unit caught fire which I put out very quick unfortunately
I had to get the new one which was off a Citroen C4 but had the exact serial numbers I'm came with the plugs still in
when I have went to change it I've noticed the 16 pin plug wires are all different would the unit work if I was to use the plugs that came with it ,the only thing is all the wires are different colours and can't find a pinout anywhere for them

i don't think putting a bsi from another vehicle will work........its not as simple as that....it needs to be a virgin bsi......and then reprogrammed with diagbox/lexia...you will need all doner parts of other vehicle...keys.. bsi..locks...key boss......ect...then it may work.......marklightfoot is your man Confused

There is no way that you can fit this bsi unit to your Berlingo, please don’t even try !!!.
Even a used unit from a identical vehicle will not work, it is programmed to the car & all the immobiliser side & security is a 1 hit deal, so unless you have the unit blanked by an electronics specialist it cannot be used.
If you do have a unit blanked, it then will need reprogramming with diagbox which is a specialist job.
Do you know why it set fire in the 1st place ?
