Has anyone tried fitting an induction kit to a 1.9d non turbo, how difficult is it, does it affect the mass air sensor and does it make much difference to the sound or performance?

It'll still be as slow as s**t, look at getting a turbo conversion instead! Not sure if it's true, but a mate of mine said he knew someone who had doctored a turbo from a Pug 306 1.9 dturbo to his berlingo at very little cost.

just got my mk1 back on the road it was a dw8 now its a xud9 dt . fairly straight forward swap .

Tbh I’d just V6 it but in answer to your first question I wouldn’t bother, yes you’ll get some more noise, but zero extra power, you can however turn the pump up slightly and it definitely makes a difference to power when it’s adjusted up a touch, it does make them a touch more energetic, from flat to an extra 10bhp is estimate from how it felt jumping from my standard one to my bosses that I tweaked the pump on Too much and it was very smokey, but adjusting throttle stops and fuelling made a nice difference, never gonna be a 2.0 hdi, but it was a welcome boost... now it may also have been my van that was down on power but I drove enough to know that it wasn’t and his engine was v.perky (I was a pug mechanic for 10+ yrs so I defo have a bit of experience
