Sliding rear door stuck
#1
The rear sliding passenger door got stuck. I tried to get it open from the outside, as the child lock is on, and then pulled the handle off. I can’t open the door from the inside as the child lock is on. I can’t open the door panel as the screw to release, at least part of the panel, is stuck against the middle pillar. I can’t open from the outside as it has no handle. Having looked on a couple of threads, there’s a suggestion that it might be a fault with the lock that comes on when you open the petrol cap door? This comes on to protect it, as the door slides over it normally. Really stuck. I would leave it, but apparently, to get an MOT, the door has to open if it’s there. Yours very stuck.

The child lock on mine is electronic and activated by a switch on the dash. I'm guessing yours is different then?

It’s my mothers car and they could never figure out how to switch it off. They hardly had passengers, so it never bothered them. I will have a look. I thought it would have been on the inside of the door frame like most normal ones. Thank you, I will investigate.

Thanks. That worked a treat. Just got to get the handle fixed, but at least the door opens.  They’ve spent years trying to figure out how to take the child lock off!! Thank you.
