Full length folding sun roof

Hi. 
I'm new to this forum and have a problem with my full length folding sun roof.
It's stuck in the open position. I've had a look and it's old and tired. Fixing it fully would be great but I would be more than happy if I could just securly close it.

I know this roof is a tricky one, but is there someone out there who knows where I might get this fixed/bodged?

I love this car. I've owned it over 10 years and don't want to scrap it just because the roof won't close.

Can't offer any advice about how to fix it, but thought I'd mention seeing some posts in here recently about fuse locations for the roof motor. There's another member in Germany with a roof like yours, his posts are probably in the camper section, he may have some info of use.

I've found a Citroen garage in North London who are going to try. They've previously permanently fixed closed a roof like mine by making a bracket for the job.
My fingers are crossed and I'll know at the end of the month if they can do it.
It's been such a good car/camper for years. Ive really grown to love the Berlingo. What a great little car.

I'm sure you've got this fixed by now but if not - the sunroof on mine works and I'll be breaking the car shortly. I need to see what bits of he mech can be removed if you are interested in any of it!

Thanks for the message. I have fixed it though. It seems a shame to break a Berlingo but they're getting old I guess. Mines nearly 20 years old!

Hi, I have a 2001 Berlingo with full sliding sunroof which is now broken and being held together with gaffer tape, I would be very interested in any parts you may still have for the roof

The roofs are probably made by Webasto. They make them for various vehicle manufacturers, I have one on my Rover Mini.

Usually the outer skin shrinks with age or the tension wires in them rust out and snap, so they get jammed. The motor will usually have a plastic plug you can pull out and use an Allen key to wind it closed.

I wish I new about being able to wind it shut. That was the difficult bit. Pulling it tight shut.

I took it to a garage who somehow pulled it shut and screwed it closed. I'm more than happy with that as no other garage would touch it and I couldn't use the car with the roof partly open.
