[Engine] M59 1.6HDi MOT Emissions Levels

Does anyone have a copy of their MoT emissions results that they'd care to share?

I'm thinking specifically about the 'Absorption Coefficient' readings & mileage at time of test.

Hi

from the docs the previous owner passed on all I can give you is

March 2017, fast pass

SMOKE K (1/m) = 0.41

SMOKE TEMP min = 31 max = 30

Average Reading 0.41 1/m

Drift Value 0.00

Mileage was 134957

This year I was not given any sort of printout or record all we got was a pass certificate with an advisory for oil leak at 144,048 miles

1.6 HDi registered December 2007

Many thanks, I hadn't realised that they use different measurements at different testing stations or perhaps it's just a different way of expressing them.

Yeah, I was expecting them to be the same. My testing station also does the standard 'Fast Pass' test type and shows results in l/min but has different headings:

For my 2.0HDi with a faulty MAF, results were better last year.

Test Limit 1.50 l/m
Absorption coefficient 0.32 l/m
Absorption coefficient after correction 0.32 l/m

The reason for my question is that I'm looking to buy a 1.6 & after reading all the stories about turbo's I thought that unusual emissions might be a hint of things being wrong.
