Seems like a needlessly negative review from someone who isn't too bright really.

It seems to imply the interior roof storage is gone, despite it still being there. And complains about it now having a 'big strip light' - surely this would be ideal for a camper?

It complains that it's 'chock full of plastic bits', yet Berlingo's always have been.

They even complain about the 220v socket, and how it's not clear how it works and if you need the engine running. Surely that much is obvious it's going to be an inverter and if the engine isn't running it'll run the car battery flat. What did the author expect? It's own self contained diesel generator mounted behind the socket?

The change in rear seats will mean a slightly different design of boot jump/camping box, but it'd be easy enough to modify an existing box with a slightly different support on the fold out bed part.

Of course they are not bright they are journalists, with the exception of guys like Clarkson (yes i know he makes people hate him but you have to admit he is not the norm) most journalists dont know d**k about what they are writing about.

I got to test drive one just as it was driven into the dealership on Friday. This one had the rear view camera/mirror. It’s s bit ugly on the exterior as the camera is mounted in the high level brake light but having that acting like a rear view mirror while driving is excellent from a van drivers point of view.

Steering is incredibly light but becomes well distributed once underway and the feedback from the road doesn’t seem compromised.

I test drove the 130ps version with manual six speed box - felt sluggish but it did only have 100~ miles on it.

My take as a van if you’re doing around 25-30k a year

100ps 1.5 bluehdi (Euro six engine)
Colour coded with DRL’s
1000kg capacity
Rear view mirror/camera
Blind spot indicators in the mirrors

That’s what I’ll be ordering once we get the price sorted out and once I receive my van back and can send this heap of shite transit van back I’ve had for the last month!
