Berlingo due first MOT
#1
Hi ya,
At third main dealer service & first MOT, I was going to ask them to check out slight clutch judder, particularly in reverse when first used. Decided to see if its a common problem - glad I did !
Its only done 13k in three years so assumed it would just need a drop of WD40 where, "flay rod gone out of skew wid treddle !"
From what I`ve read it may be a fiddly & expensive job ?
We`ve had three Multispaces & not noticed this in the past, is it a more recent auto-adjust mech ?
Its a 1.6hdi blue but I suppose they all have the same system. Please let me know if a recall was issued or other major probs on the horizon. - thanks.

Hi Peter,

Welcome to the forum.

Please can you describe the problem and in what situation it happens.

There is a great wealth of knowledge here, I'm sure someone can advise you.

Sorry if I`m posting this reply incorrectly.
Thanks Mark for your reply : -
Its a Multispace blue Hdi, 65 plate, 13000 mls.
slight judder when pulling away (slowly), more noticeable when reversing from the garage. However it has been getting worse
over the last few months.
Not noticeable after a few miles, until left overnight say - judder returns as you let the clutch out from stationary.
Its going in for its third service & MOT next week. I was just trying to gauge if its a common prob, (seen posts where clutch cable/auto adjuster only lasts 5000 mls etc.) & if its likely to cost a packet to repair?

Hi Peter,

No worries mate, the problem you describe was common on the early models m49 / m59 versions, yours is a b9 model and I vaguely remember something about dual mass flywheels and auto boxes and judder problems on later models, hopefully someone who has had similar problems to yours will be able to chip in and be able to offer some advice, I have not had any problems with mine which is on 130000 miles and still on its first clutch.

Good luck,

Mark

My B9 XTR judders slightly on first pull away of the day, and I would say its worse if its wet weather. Its been like that ever since I've had it, I've worried about it but its no different after a further 25k miles.
