Will the ban apply to vehicle bulbs too?

The EU plan to ban Household halogen bulbs as they say they are not efficient enough.
Are we there yet?????

Ban on manufacture in EU states is in force today.Retailers can sell off old stock
It is on my to do list.

Certain household 12V bulbs such as those used in ovens will still be manufactured(LEDs may not like the heat... )
Automotive bulbs such as H4 will also be kept in production since there's not much of an alternative for the millions of cars using them.
(Most H4 LED bulbs on the market are NOT approved for use as replacement bulbs in original headlights. I know, the eBay sellers don't mention that... )
