Hi All,
I have 2015 berlingo van, only done 26000miles, a few weeks back the van just didnt want to start, turn the key and you just here a faint click, sat there for about 20 mins checking wiring in the engine, couldn;t find anything, but it started, then today i get stranded when it did it again ,RAC had to come out and get me home, we did manage to bump start it to get me going but i linped home and its now on the driveway dead as a dodo! can someone please tell me where the starter motor is, i just want to check the wires and make sure nothing is loose. next step after that is off to the shop to be properly looked at!
thanks in advance!

Mark,
Thanks for the link, it does sound similar, and it confirms my thoughts, the starter motor is a pain to get to as well, i cant even see it and cant find a Haynes manual to tell me where it is.
i've got someone picking the thing up tomorrow to have a go at fixing it.

Starter motor is horrid to change on the 1.6 hdi. At least takes up to 2 hours , even when you have changed plenty !

Silly question - have you checked the battery as it will almost certainly be an AGM type - i had just over 2 years out of mine before I had to replace it.
Previous Berlingo: 2015 1.6 L1850 90ps In Artic Steel inc Look Pack and Lighting Pack.
Previous Berlingo: K9 2018 Driver M 100ps in Platinum Grey with Safety Pack
Current Berlingo: 2021 K9 Driver M Pro 130ps EAT8 in Platinum Grey with Safety Pack

yes, it was the starter motor, all replaced and working again!
driving it back from the garage i noticed a vibration/fine juddering when turning the steering wheel, only when turning a lot, like when you turn out of a street or into a road. small corrections make no vibrations, and no vibration when braking.
any thoughts? power steering pump on the way out? have never had this much go wrong with a berlingo, owned it for 2 months.

There are some threads on here about the steering behaving strangely if the steering is turned while the wheels are off the ground. Maybe that's what's happened?
