You get hit from the rear in by an Audi A4 doing less than 10mph,the Berlingo seems to fold up but when you get hit by a 22 tonne lorry at 40mph when you're almost stationary hardly anything seems damaged?
What a wonderful way to start the Day!

I've just been through this rigmarole. Six weeks ago I was a passenger in my brothers car. It was stationary, and we were hit up the rear by a BMW 3 series driving slowly. Lightish bump, with more damage to the Beemer than to us. At the time, seemingly no injuries.
The next day I felt pain - head and shoulders. So I got checked out, and I am now on a course of physiotherapy, with a whiplash claim pending. Continuous headaches and loss of sleep.
My advice is to get checked out if you were in the car, because some injuries don't show up until later.

I'm not one to put in a claim for these sort of things but i'm now starting to have a stiff neck with what seems like a dull headache all up the back of my head
I just had a look at the dashcam footage and i can see from the shadow of the truck he was hardly stopping compared to the shadow of my van

First time I've claimed for anything in my life. It was on the advice of my GP who saw me the next day, and I'm glad I did, because my headaches are ongoing even though the stiffness and initial pains have more or less gone. Apparently whiplash problems can kick in months later.
Cars can be fixed more easily than people.

Whiplash is no con its a real consequence of being rear ended, the problem is lying B@@@@@@ have ruined it for everyone. Just the same as lying B@@@@@@ have ruined the benefits system for the genuinely disabled.
Im sorry to hear about your accident Tree and yours Gravity, its a free for all out there, people have no pride in their abilities behind a steering wheel.
