I've had a search, but couldn't turn anything up...
Can someone direct me to a wiki or another thread describing how to replace a nearside wing mirror, please? It's a heated and motorised one.
Thanks.

Pop off the panel on the inside to exposee the 3 screws holding the mirror in place.
Remove screws...
There may be a 'plug' of some sort there. Styrofoam or some sort of rubber. It should come out without issues.
See all those wires...
There IS a connector, but it's way deep in the door, unless I remember wrong.
The correct way to o this then is to remove the door card and peel off enough of the membrane behind it so that you can reach the connector and uncouple it.
To get the membrane off whole, use a knife with a long, thin blade(one of those with breakoff blades is good), and lay it flat on the metal to cut through the glue holding the membrane in place.
The incorrect way to deal with the wires is to cut them as near to the old mirror as possible, then solder them together with the wire on the new mirror, and finally sealing them with heat-shrink tubing. (remember to thread pieces of tubing onto the wires before soldering them)
Or so I seem to remember that it is on my M49....
