Monmouth has a lovely church & it's famous 12thc Monnow bridge. It's a good area with the Wye valley with Tintern Abbey,Chepstow castle,(Monmouth castle is small & ruined). We have a military museum,Nelson museum & interesting buildings.I love living here.

Try Chesterfield, after looking at the spire possible you may get a trip up, there is plenty of countryside around to have a walk, not counting Chatsworth house 8 miles away, also Sheffield Buxton Matlock Bakewell are all under 13 miles way.

Haddon Hall on the Bakewell road is a nice place to look round as well, more of a home than Chatsworth. Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall as well if you're into old buildings, my wife and I have visited most in our area and the history is interesting.
So where does this bit go then ?
