Hi everyone my first post iv go a 08 multispace 1.6? Which has turned out to be the best car ever...to the point im keeping it over wants of jags and mercs!! Anyway it just hit 50k and ive had to change the front pads not bad for 10 years!! But noticed fluid over the front running gear...but checked the res and its full no visibke leaks in the engine bay area the brakes are solid but clutch has lot of travel so were would this be leaking from?i can see fluid tracking down the 2 pipes that run under the floor.....

Hi wellmound and welcome to the forum.
When you replaced your pads you pushed the pistons on the callipers back in to fit the new thicker pads. I suspect the brake fluid is coming out of the breather hole in the brake fluid reservoir - as you push the pistons in the fluid displaced must go somewhere. You could have caused damage to the master cylinder seals (flip them due to pressure) This could be the problem with the clutch as it uses the same reservoir, to may have damaged the clutch slave cylinder seals also.
I suggest you bleed the front brakes and the clutch to remove the excess fluid and make sure you have not damaged the seals.
