[Transmission] Alarm wiring connections
#1
Hi all, I have a 2007 M59 1.6HDI, I have recently been given an aftermarket alarm. The van has remote central locking but no remotes!

The alarm has central locking outputs of the type I have fitted to older cars in the past. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up connections for indicators and central locking motors?

Could I connect an indicator output from the alarm to the back of the hazard switch or does it having a bsi/canbus mess up this theory?

I have read around and found the central locking motors can be picked up on the connector mounted at 45’ on top of the bsi.

Any help appreciated

Dave

Ok, an update after poking around with a multimeter.

On top of the bsi plug marked EP:
Pin 10 white wire left hand indicators
Pin 20 pink i think! Right hand indicators

Connector narked EH1
Pin 4 front left door open switch
Pin 5 front right door open switch
Pin 33 rear right door open switch
Pin 34 rear left door open switch

Connector marked EH2
Pin 15 pink rear door open switch

Door switches show -approx 3v when door shut and connect to earth when open, you need a diode from each one to the alarm wire to prevent a generic doors open message when a door is opened instead of individual door open warnings.
This 3v is causing my alarm to go off at present, will try a diode here to prevent this.

Central locking connections on PH2

Pin 13
Pin 15

Both 13 and 15 are earthed, applying 12v to either one locks or unlocks the doors, it’s easiest to cut off at the plug and connect aftermarket unit here as per aftermarket instructions, I left them connected to bsi so lock switch still works on dash and doors lock at 7mph. I am happy to draw circuit if anyone is interested in keeping these features.

Permanent 12v and ACC 12v available in plug EA

BSI image and initial info found on C3 owners forum, connections detailed are on my 1.6hdi B59 2007 enterprise.
