Front passenger Door stuck

Recently purchashed a 2005 1.4i Multispace as a running project. Replaced drivers door due to big dent and dodgy outer handle.Given it a full service including replacing brakes.
The front door is stuck shut I've taken the door card off and tried pulling the door handle rod/bar but the door still won't open,any suggestions?

Get someone to lean on the door from outside while you try the mechanism from the inside. Is the locking mechanism working on the key ?

Thanks! When I put the key in the passenger door lock it just spins round and when I try the drivers door lock it doesn't do anything to the passenger door lock
