Engine Management Light

Hello everyone 

I'm a newbie one here and hoping to find some suggestions for the Faults on my Berlingo van.

2008 1.6hdi 75bhp

Number of issues doing my head in

1) Handbrake light on constantly and beeping 3 times whilst running. There is no power to the handbrake light switch and the foot pedal switch is brand new.

2) Engine management light comes on intermittently, with a loss of power albeit temporarily.

3) Intermittent wiper function.

4) Intermittent poor starting, almost if the battery has gone flat.

Regarding the handbrake light, I have checked the fluid level...all OK and no leaks on the system. The braking system works fine.

Regarding the power loss, I have replaced the EGR valve as this was flagged up by a fault code reader previoulsy.

I recently took the vehicle to my local garage and they put a fault code reader on to the vehicle. The guy said that he could not get into the system to read any faults.

Any help with all or any of the above faults would be greatly appreciated
