Major investment time.

Engine service.
Full new exhaust system.
Timing belt and water pump.
Nearside front strut mounting.
Hopefully that should keep it going for another few years.
2001 with 112k miles on.

112K miles?

Isn't it about then that it should have a valve adjustment?

I did engine service.
Did clutch when bought it 8 years ago.
Did starter motor.
The I started using a local mobile mechanic.
He fitted front spring I had bought £30.
He fitted the timing belt and water pump £55.
He is doing the front spring mount.
The local exhaust centre fitted full exhaust with cat for £150 2 years guarantee (£30 fitting included in price).Priced the parts myself at £105.
Sometimes its not worth getting hands dirty.

What year is your Berlingo - 2005 from your other post? If so, the B9 seats may not fit without some faff but it may be worth the effort.

In my 2004 Berlingo, I used a folding seat from a van in the passenger side, the steering wheel is always going to be an issue though so for that side I modified the recliner so the seat tips forward beyond vertical. There are a few posts on that subject so a quick search should show what's needed.

Lots of info on the Forum do have a search, I and others have written on it before.

Typically you need to consider adjusting the valve clearances if when at the onset of cooler weather you find the vehicle more difficult to start and initially has lumpy running, this will then get worse when the weather gets even colder.

If you don't have such an issue then really speaking you won't need to do anything.

Ideally the time to do the work is when you have a service interval that requires the timing belt to be replaced as this has to de done in order to make the adjustments - it requires the camshaft to be removed.
You can with little work remove the rocker cover and with the engine rotated to the correct positions for each cylinder make a measurement of the valve clearances and after comparison to specified gaps have an idea of where you are with it all and if required plan the job in to your schedule.
