A week in a Berlingo

Bought my Berlingo a week ago and thought I would post up initial thoughts.

It a 59plate 850 LX L1.

Absolutely love it. 

I have owned a few vans in my time and I have to say the Berlingo is the best designed in terms of size to capacity. The drop down bulkhead and Extenso seats are just great

I used it for work all week and found it nippy and brilliant to park.

This weekend I moved house and although the Relay was needed for sofas, mattresses and larger furniture, the Berlingo was superb for everything else. 

Got a flatpacked double bed in it no trouble, plus the mattress on a second trip. Had a super kingsize bed frame to shift and astonishingly that went in too! Biggest component was about 1000mm x 1850mm.

Great little van.

I lived in mine for 2 weeks when I toured Scotland in August. Apart from the mickey mouse auto box it's great!

Just finished 3 week trip on a Berlingo Multispace HDi, a 7200km through 15 countries. I have the mickey mouse autobox as well, but figured I like it mostly (using the joysticks on the wheel to take over control when needed), just on some rare instances it's acting a bit wierd. Most of the nights slept in Berlingo with my new DIY microcamper conversion mod and diesel preheater helped to cope with those cold October nights.

Pity the Berlingo Forum front-end programming is so bad I can't post normal pictures (posts as idiotic external links instead of real pictures shown, or when UL internally they become a tiny-weenie thumbnails which suck big time) since I took some nice pics from the trip while pushing the Berlingo to the max.
