I have my eye on a 2011 Partner Tepee Outdoor (as I have not seen a Berlingo XTR I like yet in my area). It has a 92bhp HDi 8v engine. Is this just a newer version of the 90bhp or a different engine?
I understand some of these have the 16v engine. Is one any better than the other?

the 8 valve is less fussy about service intervals the 16v would lunch torbos if the services were stretched or the wrong oil was used.
The 8 valve is a very reliable engine - but so is the 16v if serviced correctly

the 8v is the newer engine. It's the same basic block but pretty much everything else on it is different to the 16v.

I think the biggest difference with the 8v engines, is they have lower emissions - and therefore lower road tax too.
