The mods begin
#1
Fitted a new, touchscreen, pioneer mvh200 head unit yesterday.

The 17" alloys are on their way.

The lowering springs to be ordered.

This afternoon I'm taking it for a remap. I have the multispace xtr 109bhp so looking at just under 140bhp. That should be noticeable.

A paint job more inline with the company is also on the cards but the logistics need to be worked out yet.

Looking at limo tint rear windows but unsure about doing them myself.

Remap remains undone. Waiting for a map from Italy or if not available it's ecu out and on the bench ?. I should know in the morning.

Sounds good. Any pics of the mods you’re doing?

Who/where is doing the remap?

The remap should be easy to get hold of, it's the same engine as a 2007-2011 Mini Cooper D. I'd be surprised if a remap hasn't been written for those.

I'll post some pics when I figure out how to.

Liquid Customs is doing the remap.

Ordered some cables to allow phone mirroring on the new stereo today.

Are you doing the remap from a file via the OBD port? Would be interesting to know how that goes.

If the map turns up yes. If not it's ECU out.

Do you need any special tools for the OBD update?

The guy had some Kess boxes plugged into his laptop.

Ah, ok thought it might be a DIY. Still, it will be interesting to know how it goes. I'm thinking of upping my 90HP to 110HP or thereabouts, but not sure if or how I'm going to do it.
