Hi All
New to the forum. Just bought 2015 Berlingo van 1.6hdi. 24k miles immaculate. Doing 100+ miles per day commuting, returning average 50mpg mainly motorway.
1. Are there any known problems to look out for?
2. Are there any options to get a bit more power and mpg from this?
3. What would be a good alloy wheel and tyre option?

Hello Great Orme, my B9 Multispace (2010 110ps XTR) is relatively low mileage at 70k and low problems. Both front springs have been replaced due to breakage 48k & 58k, other than that trouble free. I've yet to see a rusty B9 although a few of the fasteners under hood and on chassis parts are starting to rust, eg engine mount fixing bolts. Lots of people recommend frequent (even more frequent than service interval) oil changes with exact recommended oil and I subscribe to that view. Like any diesel it benefits from decently-long warmed up drives to keep the after-treatment system running well. I record 54.something mpg both on the dashboard and on the odd occasion when I check it fill-to-fill. I find the vehicle (110ps) is under-geared and would like a 6th gear, for this reason I motorway cruise 65-70 and rarely exceed 75mph above which I think (don't know for sure) that the fuel economy nose-dives. Hope this helps, can't help with alloy wheels & tyres. Matt
