RPM Sensor connection.

Hello to everyone
as i said in the other post i have a 99' Berlingo .
i'm fixing it becouse the past owner had the bad attitude to take out everythings not working.
the RPM cluster is completely dead.
i found on google that can be the sensor
i checked al the engine and i can't see the sensor,i think it was removed completely.
There is just an hole on the gearbox on the border close the engine,can be the hole of this sensor?
if yes where then i must connect,i can't see any plug
if someone have a picture i will be really happy!

hi ,
If I recall there were two positions for the crankshaft sensor either at the crankshaft or in that hole you are refering to .
The speed sensor is the speedo drive which is (I think ) the white socket just to the right and below the hole you circled. On the CATcar site it sits in the Tachocontrol housing  so it must do both jobs, speedo and tacho. ( rev counter).
