If it's a van you never know. A lot of them are bought by fleets who order all sorts of odd specifications to meet their needs - if you order enough of them you can pretty much have anything you like even bespoke colours.
Check to see if there is a fuse for Central locking fitted and if it's there, is it blown.
\Another option is to Pop the interior trim off the back door and see if it has a central locking servo on the lock mech. (back door trims are much easier to remove than the front doors.)

do you have a lock button on the centre console? if so, then you probably do.
I recently fitted a cheap aftermarket remote system as my key-fob was kaput. pretty simple, and only cost about £8.
Tapped the harness going into the fuse box for a constant live (and a switched for my stereo) ran a wire above driver foot well to behind where stereo is, removed clock cover/stereo/and all facias - probed the lock switch on dash and took note of voltage behaviour during lock/unlock/power save, and then set up the aftermarket unit to inject 12v when key fob is pressed. unit sits nicely behind the stereo.
