You could try an air con sterilisation even if its not got air con just put cabin air on recycle and put blowers on full.

yes it has air con so will be an option, would that not just mask the smell?

Its going to be difficult to get it out of the air ducting but it will sterilise them and get rid of bacteria, this cant hurt with the tobacco smell. Air con starts to smell about every 12 months anyway if not done.

A decent smelly in the cab will also help.

Hi and welcome to the forum, Have the pollen filters been replaced as these very rarely get done on a service. All the ones ive done on a new car you need a chemical suit just to handle them.
And as Polar says let off a air con cleaner in the cab to give the ducting a blast but don't sit in the car when you are doing it.  Big Grin
Are we there yet????? Huh

That alone doesn’t sterilise aircon, generally you would use a air con spray which you introduce as near to the aircon rad in the heat exchanger in the heater box, this is where the bacteria grow due to the condensation that occurs there as a result of cooling air, the sprays are just a strong anti bacterial agent ??
