Belated pictures of my boot conversion
#1
Been meaning to put some pictures up for a while.
Using plan sent by another forum member I made a boot unit for my Berlingo that I take regularly to France.
I wanted to keep the storage space as flexible as possible so that I can transport stuff to my house there - while still using it for sleepovers on the motorway or occasional camping.

Used 12mm ply for the case and made the cushions from memory foam, total cost about £200 with the table leg and various other bits.

Love it!

I used these that were given by a fellow forum member last year - note you may need to adapt measurement very slightly according to thickness of ply.  I got all the ply pre-cut from two large sheets at B&Q so it was only a case of assembly thereafter.  B&Q larger stores will pre-cut sheets for free on their super accurate wall saws - it makes everything so much easier thereafter.

Thanks for the tip about B&Q, didn't realise they would do the cuts too.

Looks Supurb..
I'm doing something with mine next year..
But I'm thinking ,of something different.. Huh

A bench that folds up and down ,
The three pieces of ply hinged together

and slides back and forth,on the the side rails,
So the seat can be at the front or back, and facing both ways
With space for two folding bikes

All flat pieces that come apart for storage..

The cooker will be in a box ..that will sit on the bench base when pulled out at the back..

All in the planning stage at the moment..
But quite exciting.. Smile

But ...
I've bought 3 sheets of plywood 2200 x 800 ex packing crates on eBay ...for. £15.  Big Grin

2004 ,1.9d Berlingo Multispace.
called Brian... Smile
