[For Sale] Needs a good home
#1
Sadly I am parting with my 2002 1.9d Berlingo van , I have owned this van since 2007 when I first bought it quite a bit of work was needed as it clearly had been "not cared for " not abused as such but silly things like odd tyres, filthy oil , leaking rocker cover gasket and so on , I personally have put over 120000 miles on it during my ownership it has only broken down once when the clutch release bearing exploded .

It has done 184202 miles but is still in use so may go up a little.
MOT until 30/09/19.
Valve clearances shimmed at 150800mls
Full genuine cam belt kit inc water pump  fitted at 169321 mls ,
New clutch (luk) and cable fitted at 165655 mls.
New aux belt and vibration damper/tensioner and n/s wheel bearing at 181485mls
All work by renowned Citroen specialists M W AUTOS of Wisbech.

This van also benefits from monroe gas shocks at rear
Eibach coil springs (just a slight lowering and not prone to breaking ) mounted onto Bilstein b4 gas struts with meyle heavy duty top roller mounts and new wishbones, drop links , arb bushes , track rod ends, lower ball joints in fact the whole front suspension was improved , this was a couple of years ago by the way,
Brembo black max discs still good.
15inch steel wheels running 185/60 R15 , again about 2 years ago but were new wheels , sadly only four were available so I carry 2x puncture repair kit aerosols , A spare would be better but you will need  a 6 x 15 rim with an offset of 18 I believe if my memory serves me right.
EGR Valve blanked off, rocker cover breather vents to atmosphere , no Catalyst just a straight through pipe to standard back box (not overly noisy ) this was a recommendation from a garage as the catalyst was getting blocked, this has also kept the intake manifold spotless  , It has always got through its MOT like this for the last 5 years although the last tester was not impressed but passed it as the smoke test result was good.
I will leave in the stereo which runs through an amp to 6 x 9 speakers with small 8 inch sub under passenger seat , I am no boy racer at 53 but like my music.
The drivers seat is worn through but not collapsed as yet.
Has Fletner roof ventilator.
Two roof bars.
Genuine load bay rubber mat.
Two load protection frames behind seats.
Very dark rear windows.
LED load bay lighting and some non intrusive racking.
New Beru glow plugs and diesel leak off pipes.
New oil and filter new a/freeze new diesel filter and housing just fitted .

BAD POINTS-  Rev counter has never worked , no abs brakes ,no central locking air con was re-gassed last year but i expect it leaks out gas as it is useless, starts lumpy when cold but fine all day, when bought in 2007 sump plug was tight to remove and tight to replace so has been in place ever since as this version has an alloy sump , we use vacuum pump to suck out oil so you will need one too or risk the plug!
advisories on mot brake pipe corrosion, have looked and its on steel pipes near back end but could be treated, exhaust slightly corroded, slightly excessive smoke from crank case breather (could be re-connected and not seen ! but will feed your intake dirty oily vapour)
minor scratches and battle scars but unusually no damage to rear doors.

Ready to use and drive away , only selling as have brand new van.
HOW MUCH I HEAR YOU ASK , WELL £500 no offers you will find cheaper vans but none with this full documented service history which will be shown.

NO offers please bear in mind miles before cam belt due etc
