[Brakes] rear brake bleeding
#1
hi replaced the rear axle on my van,no ABS, now really struggling to bleed brakes,i don't seem to be able to get air out,and reservoir seems to have air circulating, is there a trick to bleed these,do you have to have limit valve in any particular position, or the van at some angle. its still ahs the rear up in air from axle being done. any ideas

Hi,
Not that I know of but you should bleed the front and rear brakes in the correct sequence to fully get rid of all the air locks. I would also put the van on level ground.

Check with haynes, but i think it might be O/S/F, N/S/R, N/S/F, O/S/R for the bleed sequence. You could also try using a bleed tool such as the ones you connect to a spare tyre.

If after bleeding all 4 corners dont work, there must be a leak somewhere or something.

Careful with pressure bleeders - they may cause leaks at the master cyl reservoir
