BSI Connector problem, urgent.
#1
Hi folks,

I've been trying to get my BSI out this evening to fix my central locking problem, I've managed to get every connector apart from the central one with the yellow tabs on out.

In the process of trying to remove it I've managed to snap the yellow tab, I can still lift it with a pen knife and the red connector clicks to the the right but the connector just wont come up!

Any help massively appreciated as I have to leave the car with its window down on the street to check on here.

Cheers.

I think it sounds like you are trying to remove the yellow connector from the plug?

With the red part slid along the whole grey plug should come up and off I think.

I'm only looking at pictures of the BSI and the plugs that I can find on line, yours may be different.

If it is that type make sure the red part that slides doesn't have two positions, sort of half way then fully out.

Some of the plugs they use are very difficult to release.

Hope you get it sorted.

Just needed an ungodly amount of force to pull the clip to the right in the end!

Now I'm trying to split the BSI boards.

If you can you should post a few picture of the repair, topics like this are interesting.
