Cruise control - phone a friend?
#1
I have a 2014 Berlingo Multiplas 1.6 HDI.
I installed a CC/SL twig and took it to a reputable auto electrician to be programmed. They were successful in getting the twig to link with the display (I can switch the CC and SL icons on and off) but could not connect with the ECU which they described as 'locked' and had only come across such a thing once before. They suggested getting a main dealer to refresh the ECU in the hope this would 'unlock' it. Main dealer in Southampton is not interested.
Can anyone:
  • give me some ideas to pass on to my auto electrician,
  • suggest someone else (not too far from Southampton) who is familiar with the intricacies of Berlingo electronics.
I have read the CC threads and really don't want to try and do it myself!

Thanks for reading!

I think many of the CC threads on here relate to the M59, but your car will be a B9 model? The French Car Forum & also the Peugeot Forum have a list of members with Diagbox. I got my M59 CC configured with the help of a local Peugeot member.

Just an update here.
Citroen main dealer in Southampton would not even look at it. Different franchise main dealer in Fareham agreed to book it in. After an hour they confirmed everything I had told them, had no idea what else could be done and charged £106.
At least the auto electrician in Southampton who managed to switch on the display had the grace to waive charges as the job was not finished!
