EGR valve blocked/partially blocked in my 05 2.0 hdi multispace.Is it best to remove & clean or ust by plates from ebay & blank off? Can anybody please tell me how much of a job it is to take off the EGR on one of these?

There are some threads in the M59 section about removing the 2.0 EGR, from what I remember it's a bit of a faff. It's easy enough to blank at the manifold end, but some versions of the ECU firmware will cause the EML to come on.
