1.6Hdi XTR 2008. One of the end fittings snapped off on my primer pump and I've managed to buy a new one and fit it. Only problem is even after pumping for ages I don't seem to be getting any diesel up to the pump. Can will not start. Suspect there is air in the system but any tips on bleeding it? I opened the valve on the fuel filter and after an initial trickle out, now nothing.

I'm not familiar with the unit but can it be fitted the wrong way round?I was thinking of a non return valve.
The non return part would most probably be the pump it's connected to stopping the fuel back flowing, they should only pull from the tank.
So where does this bit go then ?
