Hey all,
I just got back from a test drive of a 2016, L2, 1.6 e-HDi, automatic Berlingo with 50K km on it.
The cheeky buggers took the pictures for the advert in such a way that you can't see the 'Jims cleaning' stickers all over it. So the car will definitely need a detail. Also had some paint chips on the passenger side door and the interior seats were stained.
Other than that, it drove very nicely and I was surprised at how well the robotised auto shifted compared to my wife's Fiat 500.
All the servicing had been done on time and there didn't seem to be any issues with the car mechanicals.
One thing that did bother me though is that I noticed that the steering column stalk labelled menu, (the little stalk opposite the cruise control) didn't seem to do anything.
Would this be related to the fact that the current owners have changed the radio to a double DIN unit with a touch screen?
I only noticed this issue because I was trying to work out how to cycle through the trip details section on the cluster to try and get it to display fuel consumption, which I couldn't do. Is there a way to get the trip details?
I'm still yet to test drive a Doblo to compare them. From what I hear, the Doblo handles better, but isn't as comfortable. I've also heard the Doblo's automatic isn't as smooth.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Also, I have no idea what happened to the font on this post. The sizing and spacing kept changing. Strange.
