Diesel leak on pump. HELP.
#1
1, Hi I have a diesel leak from the solenoid on the diesel pump any advice on how to remove and repair.

2.The van runs and starts fine BUT if it’s parked facing up hill it’s a real problem starting even  to the point of needing a second battery.

Could the two problems be related.

Thanks in anticipation

If it's a 1.9D, I think the solenoid on the pump is part of the immobiliser. From looking at the picture it looks like someone has already replaced the original? They are easy enough to find online with a search for something like 1.9D solenoid or similar.
I'm guessing that if diesel is coming out, then air is getting in which would not help when starting the engine.
