Morning all!
#1
There's forums for everything these days!

Bought a 1.9D 54 plate Berlingo yesterday. Well pleased with it, 102000 miles showing on the clock but very tidy inside and runs, starts and drives well.

Hoping to get many years out of her! No turbo, no common rail, I'd rather have reliability! Got a motorbike for fun. Wink

Citroens are pretty good as far as corrosion-resistance goes aren't they?

Bit paranoid after numerous Fords rusted away...

Good morning chronyx. When I bought mine last year it came with a 12 year non-rust guarantee. My last car, a Nissan Sunny went 18 years before it rusted out.

Hi Chronyx.
Bodies of all cars made by PSA are highly corrosion-resisted.

Afternoon chronyx, your Berlingo might be susceptible to some faults, but rust isn't one on that list.

Tell me about it. I've owned two Fords and two Citroens. No problems on either Citroen, but both Fords rusted so badly that it was scary. In fact I made successful claims on the anti-corrosion warranty for both of them!

Big Grin Cheers Northman, I have given the 'Lingo a good jetwash all up round the arches and sills as people never clean cars properly these days!

Scraped the bloody paintwork with the kettle this morning while defrosting, that'll be a touch up stick for Christmas then!

First car after 3 years of motorbiking, never had to defrost my visor...just my hands Big Grin

Be very careful using a kettle to defrost.

You can crack a window. If that's your method, only use luke warm water and not freshly boiled.

Welcome!

I generally scrape the windows - never used a kettle for the reason above. I don't even use de-icer anymore as that never worked that well.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4
