Hi all, I have a 2005 Multispace 1.9 diesel. when I go up hill and revs drop below 2000, if I do not change down quick enough the warning light comes on, nothing else happens and it drives as normal. The light goes out after starting the engine a couple of times. I have taken it to a couple of garages for a diagnostic check but nothing conclusive shows up. Any ideas ?

Is the oil level at the high mark? do not trust the digital dash readout if you have one.

For what it is worth. I have a Multispace xtr 2013 reg. My engine light came on the motorway miles away from home. I was going on a weeks hiking trip. I called my breakdown firm and when he switched on the light was not there. He fitted the diagnostic kit he had which showed nothing. He said there was Citroen garage nearby and I should get it checked out in the morning, my car can be used as micro camper.
Citroen looked at it and found nothing but said there could be an issue with some small part which I forget the name of, sorry; and to get it checked at my home Citroen dealer- which I did. I got the impression it was known issue and something was replaced. both the breakdown man and Citroen dealer both said if it happens again, switch off, wait five minutes and restart- something about the computer system rebooting correctly.
