add blue tank
#1
i have a 2018 berlingo van and have made a 5mm tear in the tank from a brick on site. the light came on the dash then an engine fault light requesting an engine  repair straight away . i sealed the hole in the tank with ct1 silicon and refilled the the tank with 10itr of add blue purchased from a  tesco garage when the forced stop message was showing 400miles.  when refilled the lights when out after a few miles of driving . a few weeks later the lights are back on , i put more add blue in and this time the lights stay on. it went to a main dealer yesterday and they say i have to have a new tank at a cost of £1000.00 oooouch  Huh   i was told i should not have run the engine with an empty add blue tank and this has caused the damage to the pump inside the tank ??? does it say in the hand book not to do what i have done ? why doesn't the message on the dash say STOP now and refill add blue imeadiatley  ? what to do next ??

I would have a word with Lighty on here, he runs a garage and has a vast knowledge of citroen vehicles. https://www.marklightfoot.co.uk/ Look him up on the forum he may be able to give you advice.
Or closer to you is a citroen specialist in Hitchen called https://www.chevronics.co.uk/
I have used this garage and was very pleased with their work.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace
