non starter

Hi i have a 2004 2.0 hdi model, got in yesterday and went to start her up turned over didn't fire but thats not unusual from a first start with her, usually fires on second attempt, but tried again nothing no clicks, just dead,  lights are on,  lights come on on the dash, but wont turn over.
had the battery tested ok.
hope someone can point me in the right direction, another problem its stuck on the drive nose in and a slope so cant push it off

If it normally took a couple of tries to start, maybe the starter motor was failing and has now given up. One other possibility that comes to mind is maybe there's a poor earth to the engine block, if you have some jumper leads, try a lead between the negative terminal on the battery to the engine block.
It's easy enough to change a starter motor on the 2.0 and plenty are available, quite a few threads on here about that subject.

Check the wires going to the starter motor are in good condition and not corroded up, the wires can rot internally creating high resistance.
