[Filters & Oil] Dipdtick

It's taken a while but today, the end of the dipstick broke whilst taking it out to check the oil.

Pah - not bad though, first one ever and 8.5 years old.

My wife's old Pug 307 (1.6HDi as well), went through about 4 or 5 in it's life span.

Now to order a new one.

Anyone else lost dipsticks? ;-) (I don't mean the friends or family type)

I lost one on my taxi after about 140 thousand miles the shitty plastic crap their made of broke and the whole orange level finder at the bottom snapped off. Car has 325 thousand on it now and its not cause an issue so far. The oil lift point is covered by a mesh so it should never get lodged anywhere that it could cause damage. The new one have the plastic moulded to metal and seem more reliable.
