DPF Additive Reset

Hi folks,

I have topped up the dpf pat/eolys fluid tank on my 2015 Berlingo with 2 litres.
Does anyone know if Snap-on diagnostics tool will have the function to tell ecu it has been topped up?
My friend has access to one at work but its a ford garage.
Or will I have to go to main dealer to get it reset?

It depends on what software he has - its defo worth going to him and see what he can do.

Don't know what level tool it is but presuming it one of the most up to date as they are a main dealer franchise.
Worth a shot anyway I suppose :-)

Right folks - just an update.
He said he was able to get into it and 'select the dpf top up'
Didn't want to annoy him too much as he was feeding the two young kids :-) but he mentioned it was set up with a counter counting down from 120000kms and he was happy enough that he got it sorted.
If I do get an additive low or dpf clogging issue down the road I'll update this tread.
Happy out now as he stuck on 4 new Firestone Tyres for me as well at a good price.

Hi Polar,
Yes as far as I'm aware. He mentioned a portable snap on tool to me last week..
unless they have a different non portable setup in the workshop.

I can ask him some other time.

Update,
Two weeks ago I got the 'Risk of filter blocking'  and dpf additive low level warning after refuelling.
Back to my friend and he brought it to his mate and they reset the counter with Snap-on tool for definite but it was a new system only updated ..
on hindsight its probably best to wait for warning to become active so you'll know for definite if resetting additive level is successful.

Hi guys,

Back again on the same topic....been messing around with the last week setting up a virtual machine and got a lexia interface with Diagbox 7.57 to connect to my van just for the fun of it..
Haven't have any faults or light show up on my van since he reset the dpf additive fluid ,so i have a fault showing on the ECU as a dpf fault,.. didn't want to attempt to clear it until im sure its a historicial fault or something thats just there since the dpf additive was topped up but wasn't reset fully by the SnapOn tool my mate used..also I've only used the Diagbox s/w once so not that confident on it yet.. i
I had a look at the vehicle report and saved screen shot of fault so ill try to add it now, any pointers please?
