Berlingo camper
#1
I decided to remove the rear seats of my 2007 Berlingo and use it as a 2 berth camper for the summer. Made a folding seat/ bed base out of 12mm ply and cushions from 6mm ply and a queen memory foam mattress. The whole thing is now fairly adaptable as a day van and weekend camper.

Like it, nice and easy fr both uses and still got a bit of space if needed to lug bits around.

Like it...
I'm doing similar with mine ,
but with the bench on full length supports
so there is storage under the bed..
The good thing is ...it all folds flat so easy to store in and out of the van

2004 ,1.9d Berlingo Multispace.

I like the idea, I have just bought a 2007 berlingo desire, and I intend camperising it, (is that a word). I have just insured my van and from what I gather, removing the rear seat could be classed as a modification as it is to be unbolted from the van and could void the insurance?.

Many people take out rear seats for various purposes, they can be folded to make more room, so I can't see how taking them out is any way different to folding as they're unusable either way. Strictly speaking this is a modification for the M49&M59 as you need to remove some bolts, so you should tell the insurer AFAIK. Putting them back in may be a different story as ideally they should be torqued down to a specific setting. As far as insurance is concerned, if you're in any way unsure, call your insurance company / broker & see what they say, my guess is that some will be ok, others not, but it's Pandora's box you'll be opening. The B9 has removable rear seats I think?
From looking at the pictures in the OP, the original seats have been replaced when the bed is folded up (pic 3), my guess is that's not going to be allowed as the original seats will have been crash tested and the replacements won't have seat belt mounts.

What have you used to blackout the windows. I started mine on a 2004 Berlingo but the BSI unit failed on it so I got rid of it Sad I now have a 2002 model that I’ve done nothing to, but still have the bed that I built. I should really start doing it again but I’m moving to Ireland next month and fear I may have to leave it behind Sad
