[Transmission] Problem with gear selector rods + pivot.
#1
Photo
Hi, I have an issue with the gear linkage on my wife's 1.4 05 multispace forte.
A linkage rod has failed, (after market adjustable) I have sourced a replacement set but it is now difficult to engage 1st and 2nd. Does anyone have the correct length for the rods? Also, the linkage pivot needs replacing, but having had a number of the wrong ones sent - even though I have supplied the vin and reg no. I wondered if anyone can help? Or is it simply we have a rare variant of linkage. There isn't a part number on the pivot.

Thank you for the link. Easy to navigate site but, I still cannot see the part that looks the same as mine. Or am I missing something obvious?

You could also try:

You may need to register & login to see the page that I've linked. Navigate to 'gearbox controls' under the 'gearbox assembly' heading. There are several gearbox linkages for an M59 1.4 depending on the RPO number. The variations may well explain why you've been getting the wrong parts sent to you.
To be doubly certain, I'd start again by putting your VIN into the VIN/VIS field at the top left.

After a little difficulty  part number found mission to find a supplier starts now.
Just need the measurements for the adjustable rods and its job done I hope.
