Hi , I have an 08 plate petrol Berlingo , presuming it's a B9.
I'm having problem with horn not working , gradually conked after working intermittently. It doesn't work with or without key.
I looked at fuse box under bonnet and lay out to this is different than in the manual and in the approx place where fuse 2 (horn ) is indicated there is an empty gap with no contacts , not in use from looks of it .
Can anyone tell me where horn fuse is , also wouldn't mind knowing where the actual horn is too , also any other suggestions would be welcomed.
MOT due next week

'08 could be M59 or B9, the shapes are quite different so easy enough to tell apart from pictures. There was a post a few days ago re the M59 horn, not sure where it is on the B9 tho, maybe a search will throw something up.

It is B9 . I've found out that it is fuse 13 not fuse 2 in this set up

The way I see it is I need to get behind steering air bag to check wiring at one end and maybe need to take front end to bits to get to actual horn, ideally using a pit ..... and why the feck does the horn have to go through the ec2000 ecu ??
Whole new horn , relay and switch sounds easiest

A lot of the electrical components are controlled via relays in the BSI with low current wiring going to the controls on the steering column. If you have access to Lexia, it should be possible to test the horn via diagnostics which would then help to track down the fault. Steering column earth might be a good starting point.

Check for chaffed wiring around the steering column. On mine the turning of the steering had worn through wires going to the brake light switch because of poor routing, it caused all sorts of strange issues but after a bit of tape and moving the wire sorted.
Are we there yet?????
