Hi I wired in 2 led work lights to my van got the power from the reverse light power with an inline fuse . Basically when I turn them on they work fine but when I plug the tailligh back in they all go of including the reverse light . But if I switch van of then on it works as long as the led lights are disconnected. Any ideas I am thinking maybe to much power for the taillight to take . It's a 2013

Where have you connected the earth from the new lights to? Do the light cluster original lights not work properly now?

Fit a towing relay then they'll work Ok - that will need a battery feed though you may all ready have the wiring in place lots on on the forum with that info,
then you could use that an not have to have the ignition on.
I've got an extra light fitted on the tow bare like this works a treat
theres a warning not draw more that 10mA extra on the lighing loom ....

It may be a stupid question but is the LED lights in the holder the right way?. They act like a one way valve , flows one way but not the other .
Thinking it may have something to do with the strange behaviour of the lights.

eBay mate, loads of them on there for the car and van style B9 lights. Usually about £45 so have a look. Don't buy from a dealer, They charge a fortune!
